Manchurian Dreams

My Mum is staying with us and as a special treat we stayed at a resort located at the foot of the Great Wall for a few nights.

The front gate of the resort is actually one of the walls towers.

It was a magical place - like stepping back in time.

All the shots from todays post were taken there.

Stunning. The gate is awesome, but I really like that you included part of the building in the shot with the woman. The prayer flags are really neat!!

How fabulous for you to visit the Great Wall and stay at a hotel near it. I love your shots! :)

p.s. Was the portion of the wall where you are built by Qin Shi Huangdi? Or is it from the Ming dynasty? My youngest dd and I studied China for 1st grade history and we're in the middle of it again now in 3rd. She's fascinated by all things Chinese and has been enjoying your shots too.
