More Snow from Beijing

What is Beijing without a bike?

These shots were taken from the balcony of our old apartment (we moved a week ago) - these are Hutong roofs, Hutongs are traditional Chinese houses.  When I look at these photos I am so reminded of how lucky we are.

These are actually fun snow shots! Seeing snow on statues, and pottery? glass? makes the snow look like a welcome, brief, visitor. . . that will melt away before it overstays its welcome, accumulating, turning all snotty gray. I'm glad you get to see this a few times a year, but I agree that we have much to be grateful for in our country!

Yeah, I hear you about the hutongs. Everything in China reminded me of how lucky I am.

The roofs seems so close together. Yet there are trees poking through quite a bit. I like the dichotomy.

The snow on the roofs in the last shot really emphasizes the closeness of the buildings, and the crowding. nice shots, to see snow over there!

My friend is from China and she brought her American boyfriend there and almost all of the photos he took were of bikes! I love the houses, so different from my area.
